é incrível como já estamos metalizados que vamos levar com cenas maradas todos os dias da nossa vida e como já estamos habituados a ficar e sentirmo-nos desiludidos...

mas mesmo quando neste mundo tudo parece perdido há uma ponta de esperança, há sempre um porto de abrigo... É assim este álbum... um espaço perdido nos arredores... um espaço só nosso, um espaço onde já rimos e choramos a caminho da escola e do parque infantil...

Um espaço que já não existe, mas que causa sempre um arrepio na espinha sempre que passamos por lá... Um espaço onde gostamos de alguém pela primeira vez... e onde aprendemos que dói quando alguém parte da nossa vida...

Não faz sentido... o hoje não devia de existir... Foi esse o acordo que fiz, desde tenra idade, com o meu debilitado organismo. Jamais passar dos 25! Mas, mais uma vez o meu pobre e decadente corpo me pregou uma partida, infelizmente o dia nasceu e eu voltei a acordar. Acordei para o igual, para o mesmo... Sempre os mesmos acordes mal tocados, secos e insossos. Mas por cá continuo, preso a algo com que eu não me identifico, preso à vida. Vida deprimente, igual e sem sentido e que infelizmente continuará a não fazer sentido.
Não quero, não gosto, não posso voltar a olhar... olhar para as mesmas pessoas, para os mesmo sítios cinzentos e sem cor. Já nem a guitarra consegue pintar de cor o negro mundo que me rodeia. E como se isso não bastasse, sinto que o meu corpo me falha. Tenho pena que o meu cansado cérebro lentamente perca a informação que fui adquirindo ao longo do tempo... deixe escapar, por entre a vulgaridade do dia a dia, momentos únicos do passado que deviam ter sido guardados numa redoma de vidro para que nunca, por nenhum motivo, fossem estragados ou deturpados... Sons, cheiros, sítios, músicas, sorrisos, pessoas... começam lentamente a ser apagados, censurados, oprimidos... e os sonhos?! morrem... são absorvidos pelo dia a dia quadrado que levo. Tenho saudades de pessoas, de sítios únicos, de abraços. Saudades dos verões e das conversas parvas até ser dia, sempre regadas com substâncias mais ou menos ilícitas... Isto de viver é estupidamente parvo, procuram-se sempre novas coisas para "ser feliz" e deixam-se escapar sempre as que encontramos... As coisas que antigamente faziam tanto sentido... vão deixando de o fazer até serem encostadas ao canto das "parvoíces"... é triste...

Logo que conseguiram ter uma situação económica desafogada, o casal tomou a decisão de Beatie ficar com a gestação do bebé de ambos.

Depois de um ano em que correram nove médicos e gastaram vários milhares de dólares, Thomas e Nancy conseguiram aceder a um banco de esperma para fazer o seu bebé.

Todavia, a primeira tentativa não teve êxito e o óvulo fecundado instalou-se fora do útero, levando Beatie à sala de operações onde lhe retiraram uma das suas trompas de falópio.

"Quando o meu irmão soube da perda do feto disse: "Foi bom que acontecesse. Quem sabe que tipo de monstro teria sido?"".

A segunda tentativa teve mais êxito e Beatie está agora grávido e espera dar à luz uma menina por volta de 3 de Julho deste ano.

"Como se sente um homem grávido? Incrível. Estou estável e seguro de mim mesmo como homem que sou. Incrível. Tecnicamente vejo-me como sucedâneo de mim mesmo, embora a minha identidade sexual seja a de varão. Eu serei o pai, Nancy a mãe e seremos uma família", confessou Beatie, questionando o que é ser "normal" para a sociedade.
